Mexico Safety and Security

American Realty announces publication of annual Mexico Safety Report.

Steve Didier, Chief Marketing Officer for American Realty in Playa del Carmen is pleased to announce the release of the 2014 Mexico Safety Report. This is the first in what will be an annual report issued by American Realty. The purpose of this report is to provide some clarity on the issue of safety for tourists and expatriates who travel in or relocate to Mexico.

The report is an effort to get past the media sensationalism and political motivations and provide an objective look at exactly what level of risk is involved as an American who chooses to travel or live in Mexico. It will allow the reader to gauge and compare the danger of traveling to Mexico compared to the danger of violent crime in their own hometown or other popular vacation spots in the United States.

Mexico Safety Report Author

Mexico Safety ReportThe report was researched and authored by Steve Didier, Chief Marketing Officer for American Realty in Playa del Carmen, with the hopes of providing objectivity through verifiable statistics and using hard numbers to tell the real story in regards to safety for Americans in Mexico. Steve has 14 years of real estate experience and has traveled Mexico extensively, including some of the known hot spots of drug activity.

He has traveled to both coasts, as well as northern and eastern Mexico since the “drug war” began and has lived in Playa del Carmen, Mexico for well over a year at the time of the release so the Safety Report uses both accurate statistics as well as extensive personal experience.

This unique blend of facts and “boots on the ground” knowledge puts Steve in a unique position to provide a very thorough overview of the situation in Mexico as it relates to the safety of Americans and Canadians who plan to vacation or move to the country of Mexico.

“The raw numbers don’t lie” says Steve. “You are 25 times more likely to be the victim of a homicide in Orlando than you are in Mexico, and that’s the home of Disneyworld. You wouldn’t think twice about bringing your family to The Happiest Place on Earth, right?”
