Beach Soccer in the Riviera Maya

Do you like soccer or even beach soccer? Are you a die hard fan? Would you do anything to watch a game? Yeah, me neither, I am Canadian.

When does hockey start again??  🙂

BSWW Riviera Maya Cup 2013

Well fortunately for us non-soccer fans and soccer fans, the Riviera Maya in Playa Del Carmen in conjunction with Mamitas beach club, put on a great show for the whole family. The round robin consisted of Mexico, Germany, USA and Brazil. There was music, dancing, TV celebrities, great food and on a world class beach to top it off

Beach soccer“This BSWW Riviera Maya Cup 2013 finds a strategic place in the season calendar, too. Just days before the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013 – CONCACAF Qualifier Bahamas, it gives both the Mexico and Bahamas National sides the chance to put themselves to a demanding test, facing huge sides such as Brazil and Spain before fighting their chances to go to Papeete in Nassa”

  • Note Brazil of course won with Germany in 2nd, USA in 3rd and Mexico in 4th

The Azteca sand and crystal clear blue water of the Caribbean, Coronas and fans from around the world, kept this an exciting an event that has garnered worldwide recognition. You may have missed it this year, but for people visiting here, there is always something to do… and if you enjoy beach soccer…
